The Galapagos - Life under the waves

We had a good number of snorkeling swims from the boat and with my trusty underwater camera managed to capture some of what it is like down there, although I didn't always need the underwater camera to capture life under the waves!

Spotted Eagle Ray
Some sort of puffer I think

A ray taken from the pier

Green Turtle and Baby shark (probably white tip reef shark)

Yellow or Galapagos Mullet, often seen near the surface feeding

A deep rock pool absolutely teeming with life

Heiroglyph/Hawk fish, taking crabs from the water's edge

Surgeon Fish

I called these 'Kissy Fish', can't remember the proper name

Ray hiding in the sand

Something spotty and eel like

Pencil Urchin

More Surgeon Fish

Chocolate Chip Cookie Starfish

Green Urchins
More Spotted Eagle Ray

Green Turtle being cleaned by Surgeon Fish

White Tipped Reef Shark from above

And from below!

Parrot(?) Fish crunching sand, being followed by Wrasse eating the leftovers

Nosey Sea Lion

Nosey having a nosey at the White Tipped Reef Sharks!

Puffer all puffed up

Green Urchin

Scarlet something-or-others. Millions of them

I think this was a type of Wrasse

Green Turtle, turtling away

Different type of turtle with amazing patterns on it's shell

Sand Eels
