Arches National Park

Into Arches National Park today, named for, you guessed it, the arches! According to our guide (if I heard him correctly), there are more natural stone arches here than there are in the rest of the world.

Balanced Rock. We were sure it was concreted on!

Turret Arch

North and South Windows

Double Arch

I had to wait ages for these two buggers to sod off so I could get a clean photo, but I kinda like them in for scale now!

No Sir, nothing phallic here.  Nothing at all.

Firey Furnace

Landscape Arch

Caution! Primitive! Difficult!  That's Marion!

We took the hike up to Delicate Arch for Sunset, and came back in the dark.  A fair trek to get there, 45 minutes or so, a lot of it across bare sandstone.

There had been recent rain, so a few puddles around, which lead to some lovely reflection pictures.

The path was pretty exciting at times!

I'd guess at well over 100 people there for sunset.

Looking back up the trail at the torches of people coming down
